Juanita Pearl Perkins, 94, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Camden Clark Medical Center.

She was born June 25, 1924 in Bull Creek, Pleasants County, W.Va., a daughter of the late John and Lila Newland Smith.

Juanita was a homemaker, loved walking at the mall and enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching her great-nephew, Deron Williams play NBA Basketball. Juanita along with her husband, Rev. Russell Earl Perkins served the Methodist Churches in Cottageville, Rivesville, Pt. Pleasant Good Shepherd, Hickory Chapel, East Vienna, Enterprise, Crossroads and Waverly Charge. She was a member of the Wayside United Methodist Church.

Juanita is survived by her two daughters, Carol Ann Chichester (Steven Nichols) of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Betty Jean Perkins (Paul Greynolds) of Vienna; one granddaughter, Brooke Balog (Greg); and four great-grandchildren, Jordan, Connor, Trinity and Kingston Balog.

In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Russell Earl Perkins; one sister, Ardea Rogers; and four brothers, Jennings, James, Eustace “Mac” and Delford “Dep” Smith.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Rev Sara Facemyer Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the services Sunday at the funeral home.
