Clyde Bailey, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Lee Nursing and Rehab Center in Pennington Gap, VA.

Clyde was born in the Robbins Chapel area, the son of the late Emmit and America Smith Bailey. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the US Army. He owned and operated the Bailey-Robbins Furniture store for many years in Pennington Gap. He was a Charter member of the Cedar Hill Country Club, winning the Club Championship in 1969 and 1970. He was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Pennington Gap and was a member of the United Methodist Men's Club. He was also a member of the Miles # 165 Masonic Lodge in Pennington Gap, VA.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Audia; three nieces Margaret Thornton, Janith Coleman and Linda Bailey.: by one nephew David Bailey. Three step-sons; Charles John Audia and wife Lisa, Roger Steven Audia and wife Kathy, Barry Alan Audia and wife Paula. Grandchildren; Michael Bramlett; Step-grandchildren; Nicole Collins and husband Brent, Steven Audia and wife Reagan, Stephanie Williams, Hannah Audia Webb and husband Clint, Alan Audia and Jeffrey Holt. Step-great grandchildren; Savannah and Noah Williams, Eliza Kate Audia Collins, and Richter Fox Audia.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 23, from 12 until 2:00 pm at Sturgill Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Nancy Hobbs, Rev. Layne Pennington and Rev. Kyle Burnette officiating. Military graveside service will in Lee Memorial Gardens in Wooday. Military Rites will be rendered by the VFW, post 5715 and other DAVS, and the National Guard Honors Team from Gate City, VA.
