COLUMBUS
Lonnie Napier, 71, of Columbus died 7:45 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2019, at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.
Lonnie was born in Blue Diamond, KY November 11, 1947 the son of Mack and Callie Couch Napier. He attended N.C. Napier High School in Hazard, KY. He married Shelia Lawson January 7, 1967 in Hazard, KY; she survives.
He retired from Cosco after 25 years’ service. He was a member of Apostolic Revival Tabernacle in Columbus. He loved to drive and taking long scenic drives, western movies and especially enjoyed eating sweets.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shelia Napier of Columbus; children, Mack (Amberley) Napier of Columbus, Rick (Judy) Napier of Columbus, Richard (Bridgette) Napier of Kissimmee, FL, Melissa (John Sprong) Klineyoung of Columbus, Wendy (Rich) Montgomery of Columbus; siblings, Ronnie Napier, Geneva (Eugene) Combs, Faye Combs, Irene (Frank) Sable and Timmy (Linda) Napier all of Indianapolis; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 sisters; 4 brothers; 2 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Pastor Chauncey Romine officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. to service time Monday. Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery.
