Robert Allen Maguire, 89, of Arlington, TX, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019, in Rowlett, TX. He was born on July 31, 1929, to Pierce Maguire and Eva Gahlbeck in Chicago, IL. Robert married Frances Blossaer on October 12, 1957 in Marshall, MO. He was a Chemist for the pharmaceutical, food and nutrition industries. Robert was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity, 68 year member of Paul Revere Lodge, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, Chicago, IL, The Arlingtones Barbershop Chorus in Chicago, IL, First Congregational Church of Fort Worth, TX., The Arlington Yacht Club, Irving Community Band, 30 year member of Texas Health Fitness Center HEB, Lake Cities Community Band, and Dallas Frohsion German Singing Society. He served in the Army from 1952-1954 as a Corporal, and a Musician for the 314th Army Band in Frankfurt Am/Main Germany. He is survived by 2 sons, Daniel Maguire and wife Barbara of Wausau, WI. Lawrence Maguire and wife Terri of Rowlett, TX, 5 granddaughters, Laura and Alastair Emmett, Melanie Maguire, Krista and Ben Weaver, Stephanie Maguire, and Haylie Maguire. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Maguire and sister, Mildred Mowbray.
