Rebecca J. Gibson Flynn, 57, of Bloomington, formerly of Jacksonville, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at Bromenn Hospital in Bloomington. She was born Sept. 21, 1943, in Jacksonville, the daughter of William and Rosemary Vasey Gibson.
Mrs. Flynn had worked as a nurse and with the developmentally disabled. She had been a nurse for many years in both the Jacksonville and Lincoln Developmental Centers and for Passavant Hospital.
Survivors: a son, Russell (wife, Tracey) Flynn of Bloomington; two daughters, Rita Susan (husband, Don) Arthur of Jerseyville and Rosemary Anders of Jacksonville; three grandchildren; four brothers, William (wife, Darlene) Gibson of Woodson, Mike (wife, Donna) Gibson of Franklin, Joe Gibson of Bloomington and pat (wife, Betty) Gibson of Jacksonville; and a sister, Karen (husband, Earl) Jackson of Jacksonville.
Memorial services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
