CLYDE "JAY" McKENLY DAVIS

Clyde "Jay" McKenly Davis was born to Allie Florence Todd Davis and George Oliver Davis on March 19, 1959 in Mullins, S.C. He graduated from Mullins High School in 1977.
He transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Saturday, March 16, 2019 around 11:00 PM at St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, OK.
Jay was a God fearing, Jesus loving soldier who served His God on the battlefield daily. He united with New Dora Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Winston Whitfield and was later ordained as Deacon. He was a dedicated member to NDBC to New Dora.
On September12, 1997, he met Lorrie Dedmon and on June 29, 1998 they became one.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ally and George Oliver, one sister, Jean Carolyn Evans; one brother David L. Davis; a niece Lisa, two nephews, Justin and Clayton and a granddaughter, Callie Jo.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted and loving wife of 20 years Lorrie Dedmon – Davis of Tom, OK. Son, Damion Dedmon (Holly) of Phoenix, AZ. Daughters, Sharita Dedmon of Texarkana, TX and Courtney Dedmon of Phoenix, AZ.
Grandchildren, Ethan, Dominic, Bryson, and BaiLeigh. Sisters, Dorothy Davis (Freddie), of Conyers, GA; Betty Jo Leggett and Glenda Moody of Mullins, SC; and Lora Lopez of Fayetteville, NC.
Sisters-in-Law, Betty Pruitt, Faye Brown (Richard) and Jerrie Dedmon, all of Dallas, TX, Eddie Williams (Michael) of Hampton, VA, Barbara Dunn (Billy) of Ashdown, AR, Carlois Dedmon of Muskogee, OK, and Faye Ervin of New Boston, TX.
Brothers-in-Law, Darnell Dedmon (Vernell) of Foreman, AR, Paul Hervey (Betty) of Tulsa, OK and Larry Murphy (Beverly) of Dekalb, TX.
And, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also, his extended New Dora Church Family, SOSU family, the 79 AA Family, and many more friends. Jay was known and loved by many.
Family visitation is scheduled for 5-7 PM on Friday, March 22nd at Nunley Funeral Home. The service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at the First Assembly of God Church in Haworth, OK.
