Gilbert “Gilly” Moore, 62, of Spaulding, passed away at 7:54 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Gilly was born on February 2, 1957 in Sheboygan, WI, the son of Gilbert Samuel and Janice Groll Moore.
Gilly worked for Goodwill for 42 years. He was a very loving person, who enjoyed giving hugs. Gilly also liked watching wrestling and racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Michael A. Moore; and nephew, Justin Lewis Smith.
He is survived by his sisters, Janice (John) Smith of Spaulding and Elizabeth Marsh of Riverton; nieces and nephews, Joshua Smith, Heather Lind, Richard Marsh, Karen Fifield, and Doreen Wilder; and many cousins.
Cremation will be provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at a later date.
