Marilyn was a 1950 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School. Marilyn owned and operated Marilyn's Powder Puff Beauty shop in Linton for many years. She was a loving wife, homemaker, and mother.
She was a member of Linton First Christian Church for many years and was a member of the Church of the Brotherern in Lawrenceville, IL in most recent years.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Bernard R. Racop of Vincennes, two sons, and Scott Richards and Tony (Debbie Williams) Richards of Linton, a son-in-law, Jerry Reed of Linton, three grandchildren, Derick (Rebecca) Richards, Chatelene Reed, and Jerissa (Nick) Yingling, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband of 38 years, Dave L. Richards, her daughter, Jenissa Reed, two brothers, Warren and Bob Robison, and a sister, Barbara Boyd.
Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 25, 2019, with Rev. Dick Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
