Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bernice Hall Abat of New Orleans; two sons, George E. Abat Jr. of New Orleans, Roy Abat of Washington, D.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Puglisi and Betty Abat, both of New Orleans; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Bozeman and Mrs. Bessie Havard, both of Lecompte, and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home. Burial was to be in Greenwood Memorial Park. The Masonic Lodge of Boyce will conduct graveside services.
