Taylor Neal, 95, of McLeansboro died 10:05 p.m. Sept. 30, 2005, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.

He was a retired grade school teacher, having taught for 43 years in the Christopher and the Danville school systems.

Mr. Taylor was born Nov. 23, 1909, in Thompsonville to Richard C. and Lora (Aiken) Neal. He first married Wanda (Hays) Neal; she preceded him in death. He then married Mildred (Rawls) Neal; she also preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Neal family cemetery near Logan. The Rev. Robert Sefried will officiate. Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Mr. Neal is survived by a son, Fred L. Neal and wife Luan of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren, Tracey Glenn and husband Bill of Marion and Kent L. Neal of Centralia; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Reel of Marion and Michaela Reel of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, five brothers and a sister.

Mr. Neal graduated from the University of Illinois with a master's degree in education. He was a member and deacon Blooming Grove Baptist Church near McLeansboro.

Taylor married Mildred Rawls on June 5 1976. She preceeded him in death on Feb. 15, 2000. She is buried next to her parents and brother at Blooming Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro. Taylor was a member and a deacon of the Blooming Grove Baptist Church near McLeansboro
