---Kelly Carpenter (197675536)
Suggested edit: BUTTE- Kelly Joseph Carpen-ter, 24, died in a construction accident Tuesday in Great Falls.
Friends are asked to join the family after 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's, followed by cremation. Private burial of ashes will take place in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Duggan Dolan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Kelly is survived by his parents, Robert (Deb) Carpenter and Pam (Henderson) Kehl; sisters Krista Henderson and Amanda Carpenter; nephew Braden Loyola; niece Izabella Carpenter; grandparents Leighton "Bob" and Ruth Carpenter; aunts Kathy (Wayne) Worley and Linda (Rick) Foster; uncle Jerry (Kim) Carpenter; cousins Wayne (Mindy) Worley, Marnee Worley, Chris (Mark) Melby, Chuck (Melissa) Foster, Rikki (Brandon) Stewart, Jerry Foster, Justin (Stacy) Henderson, and Josh Henderson; and numerous other family members.
Kelly Joseph Carpenter, the only son of Robert "Bob" Carpenter and Pam (Henderson) Kehl, was tragically taken from us on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, in Great Falls, Mont.
Kelly was a great brother to his sisters, Krista and Amanda, and the "favorite uncle" to his nephew, Braden, and niece, Izabella. They will always remember him and his "spoiling games" he played, especially early morning breakfasts with Uncle Kelly.
Kelly was born July 14, 1983, in Kalispell, Mont. His family moved to Elko, Nev., shortly after, where he attended Springcreek High School. He later moved back to Butte to live with his grandparents, Leighton "Bob" and Ruth Carpenter.
Kelly loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed good times spent with his many friends. He recently graduated from the Operator's Engineering School, where he became an apprentice and obtained his operator's license. He was working for Garco in Great Falls at the time of his death. His favorite place was where his friends gathered, at Pisser's Palace, when he bar-tended.
Kelly was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Helen Henderson; uncle Jim Henderson; and great-grandparents, Ruth Fantini, and Leighton and Theresa Carpenter, and Florence Hicks.
Condolences may be posted online at www.gftribune.com/obituaries.
