Roger Dee Reynolds, 71, Robinson, IL passed away on Tuesday March 19, 2019 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN after a brief illness.

Roger was born on May 5, 1947 in Robinson, IL.

He was the son of Delbert and Flo V. (Rush) Reynolds.

On December 17, 1966 he married Twila Ann Calvert. They were married for 52 years.

On October 2, 1967, Roger signed onto the airwaves as a full-time disc jockey and later as a salesman at WTAY/WTYE Radio in Robinson, IL where he worked for 51 years. He hosted the “Morning Show” and the “Saturday Oldies” show for over 30 years. Roger was famous for his super hero alter ego “Lunchman” who read school lunch menus and battled his nemesis “Weiner Man”.

Roger graduated from Hutsonville High School in 1965. Roger ran his own DJ business where he was known for his discos, dances, parties and wedding receptions. He was known by fellow music fans as “Mr. Oldies” and many considered him as the 5th Beatle. Roger also emceed and introduced performers at LTC Foundation Concerts.

He is survived by his wife Twila Reynolds of Robinson, IL; son and daughter-in-law Ryan Patrick and Jennifer Lynn Reynolds of Robinson, IL; four grandchildren Khristian James Reynolds, Kourtney Lynn Reynolds, Emerson Tucker Reynolds and Felix Patrick Reynolds all of Robinson, IL; half-sister Martha “Mart” and Erland Lingafelter of Hutsonville, IL; sister-in-law Barbara Reynolds of Robinson, IL; several nieces and nephews and former daughter-in-law Stephanie Bland Weber.

Preceding Roger in death were his parents; son Randy William Reynolds in 2014; twin sisters Brenda Fuller and Linda Shaffner; half-brother Elman D. “Buck” Reynolds and half-sister Norma Gale Hackler.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday March 24, 2019 at the Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson, IL. There will be a private family graveside service at Bradbury Cemetery near West York, IL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that an expression of sympathy may take the form of a contribution to the Crawford County Humane Society with envelopes at the funeral home or may be mailed to Pulliam Funeral Home, P.O. Box 121, Oblong, IL 62449.
