Mary Alice (Kelly) Roper Of Norwood, formerly of Brookline, and West Roxbury, passed away on March 18, 2019.
Wife of Richard L. Roper of Hyde Park. Loving mother of Rosemary Roper of Norwood, Michael Roper of West Roxbury, Lorainne Fryar of Waltham, Richard J. Roper of Pepperell and Veronica and her grandson, whom she resided with, of Norwood. Dear sister of Helen J. Lucas of Beverly. Adored grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 4 beautiful boys.
Cherished friend of Jane and Michael both of Norwood as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mary will be missed by her beloved dog, her loving companion, Cassie. For over 25 years, Mary worked as a Medical Secretary for the Boston Center for Rehabilitation. Mary will be forever remembered as a devout Catholic as she faithfully prayed her daily prayers while watching the Boston Catholic Channel. She was an active parishioner and communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Parish serving her parish as a lector for over 25 years. Mary religiously continued her prayers as a member of the New Jerusalem Prayer Group in St. Timothy Parish.
Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, 990 LaGrange Street, West Roxbury.
