Gregory Wells “Greg” Knight, 54, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born in Osceola, Ark. on January 5, 1965, to Wilford Wells Knight and Mary Francis Rosamond Knight. He worked for the Prentiss County Board of Supervisors as the Building and Grounds Inspector. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Greg loved being with family and friends, and spoiling his grandbabies.
Services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Smart and Bro. Tim Bullock officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Jumpertown Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Carol Spencer Knight, whom he married on October 21, 1983; one son, Gregory Knight (Christian) of Jumpertown; one daughter, Allyshia Knight of Jumpertown; two sisters, Amy Green (Chris) of Booneville and Molly Perrigo of Jumpertown; step-father, Curtis Roy; grandchildren, Bentley Knight, Saylor Knight, Henley Knight, Karter Knight, Colton Knight and Baby boy Knight; brother-in-law, Lee Spencer (Wanda) of Booneville; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilford Knight; mother, Mary Roy; a brother, Todd Knight; a brother-in-law, Justin Perrigo; and two nieces, Madison Knight and Detra Green.
Pallbearers will be Justin Knight, Kody Spencer, Julius “Nub” Agnew, Dustin Knight, and Eddie Haygood. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Aycock and the Prentiss County Board of Supervisors.
