Justin James Ward, age 10, of Jackson Township, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2019. He was born on June 17, 2008 in Canton, Ohio to Justin Ryan Ward and Joanna Rae (Tarry) Ward.

James was an outgoing, ambitious, smart and athletic boy. He excelled in sports, especially at lacrosse, basketball, and football. Whenever he talked about his athletic ability, he would describe himself as being “savage” which was sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.

When James wasn’t playing sports, he was perfecting his skills playing Fortnite and making sure everyone knew he was no longer a “newb”.

He was also an amazing big brother and protector of his younger siblings. He was very supportive when it came to his family, especially his mom and dad.

With his contagious laugh and his ability to light up the room, James was a true ring leader.

He will always be remembered for his good looks which included his perfect little smile, his freckled face and his infamous, big bear hugs.

He will be deeply missed by his parents, Joanna Ward and Ryan Ward; siblings Kaylee, Rylee and Jackson Ward; grandparents, Susan Tarry & Bill Ayars, Linn W. Tarry, Eric & Kimberly Ruth, Justin Leonard & Diane Ward; great-grandparents Edwin & Elizabeth Ruth, Shirley Sell, Herbert Cook, and David & Carol Koons; aunts and uncles Zachary & Marilyn Tarry, Katelin Tarry, Ryan & Holly DeMuesy, Brian & Micah Schaller, Nathaniel & Leah McMullin, Ericah Ruth, Hannah Ruth; numerous cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at Faith Family Church, 8200 Freedom Ave. NW, North Canton, Ohio 44720.
