Peggy Williams Ross, 95 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma passed away on March 17, 2019 in Sallisaw. She was born on June 4, 1923 in Sallisaw to Edna Mae Linley Williams and Joe Joab Williams.

She was married to Melvin Eugene Ross on June 12, 1945 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1977. After 39 years of employment with the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, Peggy retired to the farm in Akins, OK. She enjoyed raising beef cattle, gardening, eating lunch and playing bingo with her friends at the Sallisaw Nutrition Center and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sallisaw, OK.

Survivors are: 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Melva Jean and William Parish of Akins, OK and Sharon Kay and David Hanna of Sallisaw, OK; 3 grandchildren: 4 great grandchildren: 1 sister-in-law: Betty Matthews of Edmond, OK; 1 brother-in-law: John Ross of Little Rock, AR; many beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 sisters: Mildred Hardin and Audra Harmon; 1 brother: Manuel Dobbs; 1 brother-in-law: Jerry Ross and 1 sister-in-law: Joyce Cole.

Services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
