She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her sister Brenda Leavell and brother Donnie Baber.
She is survived by brothers Jerry “Bubba” Terrell and Richard “Dickie” Baber. She is also survived by her children and their respective spouses; Mike Eavey & Sandy of Waynesboro, Larry & Michelle Eavey of Staunton, Lori & Terry Louk of Waynesboro, Lewis Eavey & Christi of Waynesboro and Brian & Sharon Hoover of Waynesboro. Her surviving grandchildren include Danielle Hughes, Eric Eavey, Tiffany Louk, Kevin Eavey, Lee Louk, Autumn Eavey and Austin Eavey. Her great-grandchildren are Kaitlyn, Logan, Emmalee, Maliyah, Malayah and Talen.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at McDow Funeral Home. A graveside service will be officiated by Pastor Mike Lawson at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 20th at Riverview Cemetery.
