Dorothy “Dottie” K. Seals, 74 of Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Decatur Memorial Hospital. Dottie was born on May 31, 1944 in Batesville, the daughter of Charles and Agnes Lieland. She married Jerry Seals on July 15, 1967 in Yorkville, IN and he survives.
Other survivors include her son Jason Seals of Greensburg; her sister Mary (Tim) Trabel; her brothers – Ken (Betty Jo) Lieland, David (Angie) Lieland, Steve (Carol) Lieland, Stanley (Sonya) Lieland and Joseph (Cheryl) Lieland and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son Charles Seals.
Dottie was a homemaker, but also worked outside the home for many years. She worked in the office at RomWeber as well as with Emergency Management in Jackson County at the courthouse. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved decorating and antiquing.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 4PM – 7PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 11AM also at the funeral home with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
