Laura Ann Bishop, 50, of Steele passed away Friday, March 15, 2019, in Steele. She was born Nov. 26, 1968, in Blytheville, Ark., to Merlyn Bishop Sr., and Frances Waller Bishop. She was a graduate of the South Pemiscot High School class of 1987. She was employed for 15 years at Milwaukee Tool in Blytheville, Ark., and also worked in home health care.
Survivors of Ms. Bishop include her parents, Merlyn and Frances Bishop of Steele; one daughter, Hannah Blythe Lancaster of Manila, Ark.; one sister, Paula Raspberry of Gosnell, Ark.; one brother, Merlyn Bisphop Jr., of Steele; three nephews, Kyle Raspberry, Chase Raspberry and Zachary Bishop; one great-nephew, Colt William Raspberry, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Ms. Bishop were held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 18 at the Steele Church of Christ with Mr. John Mundy officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Pallbearers were Keith Pritchard, Andy Pritchard, Alfred Pritchard, Drew Pritchard, Kent Raspberry and Chad Bishop.
