Gregory Neil Bennett, 59, of Columbia, MO passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at home after a long battle with cancer.
Greg was born December 3, 1957 in Boone County, MO to Glenn and Florence Nadine Crane Bennett.
He was a member of the first graduating class of Rock Bridge High School in 1976.
He worked for Boone Electric Cooperative for 25 years as a Lineman.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He obtained his 1st degree black belt in 1987.
He is survived by four sons, Jesse (Esther) Bennett of Kansas City, MO, Brandon (Vera) Bennett of Ft. Bragg, NC, and Shane and Shawn Bennett of Columbia; mother, Nadine Bennett of Columbia; sister, Kim (Heath) Rose of Clinton, MO; and grandchildren, Isabella and Gabriel Bennett.
His father, Glenn, preceded him in death.
A memorial gathering will be from 2-4pm Friday, December 8, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia, MO.
