Alpine man killed in accident
Stephen K. Shanks, 30, Alpine, was killed in a one-vehicle accident Thursday Oct 20, at 6:45 p.m.
According to an accident report filed with the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Shanks was driving a 1989 Ford pickup when he failed to negotiate a left curve three miles south of the Hoback Junction on U.W. Highway 26/89. He reportedly over corrected twice before causing the vehicle to roll several times. The vehicle landed on its roof and the driver was pinned inside.
Shanks was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
