Mrs. Anna Moore Flynn, mother of Maurice B. "Lefty" Flynn, movie actor and former Yale football star, committed suicide by slashing her wrists and throat with a razor in her home here last night, police announced today.

Mrs. Flynn, who was in her sixty-third year, was said to have been suffering from a mental ailment. She had lived on Meadow Drive, in the city's exclusive residential section.

Joseph A. Flynn, her husband, is employed by the Thompson-Starrett Company of New York, contractors. A sister, Mrs. Grover E. Warner, of this city, is the wife of a wealthy sugar refiner.

Burial is to take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Syracuse, N.Y., Saturday.

"Lefty" Flynn graduated from Yale's Sheffield Scientific School in 1914.

The marriage of Miss Anna Theresa Moore, daughter of John Moore, to Joseph Augustus Flynn of New York City, took place at the residence of the bride's parents in West Genesee street, last evening. The house was elaborately and beautifully decorated with flowers, palms and ferns. The ____ rooms were crowded with 250 per one, including most of the society people of Syracuse and delegations from New York, Albany, and other cities. The bridal procession descended the stairs at 7 o'clock, and entering the drawing rooms under a canopy of evergreens and roses. The party consisted of the bride and groom, the bridesmaids, Miss Helen Moore and Miss Sarah Pendergast, the groom's best man, Alexander Brandon, Jr., of New York City; and the ____, D. Valentine, Jr., of Syracuse, Thomas R. Ke___tor, of New York, and Frank Moore, brother of the bride. The bride, escorted by her father, was met at the foot of the staircase by the groom. She wore an elegant gown of white satin trimmed with Duchesse lace, low neck short sleeves and train, and a veil of white tulia. The costume was of the simplest, and Miss Moore was one of the most beautiful of brides whom Syracuse has given to the society of other cities in many years. Her ornaments were diamonds. Miss Helen Moore wore white satin and tulle. Miss Pendergast's costume was white silk with pearls and flowers. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Dr. O'Hara of St. Mary's church, assisted by Rev. J.P. Magen of Geddes, Rev. J.J. Hanlon, secretary and chancellor of the diocese of Albany, and Rev. John J. O'Brien of Fonda. After the ceremony the guests sat down to a wedding banquet prepared by Teall of Rochester. Kapp's orchestra furnished delightful music from a screened balcony in the hall. Among the guests were Maurice B. Flynn of New York, brother of the groom and wife. The wedding gifts were superb. Mr. and Mrs. Flynn left last night for Boston for a wedding journey. They will reside in New York City.
