Eldora was the daughter of the late John and Mae Bendell Zaney. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Philip M. Conner (2010); sisters, Elizabeth McAbee, Lucretia Forsha; brothers, Lawrence Zaney and John Zaney.

Eldora was an active member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church and Church Women United; Weirton Chapter No. 147 OES, AREMA club, Hancock County Retired Teachers. She retired in 1977 from Hancock County Schools as an elementary teacher at the former Weirton Heights Elementary.

Surviving are her daughter and her husband; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday March 17, 2019 at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV where the funeral will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Carol McKay presiding. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
