Carolyn Flynn, 79, of Arab, the Scant City area, went to be with her Savior, Friday March 15, 2019 at her residence.
Mrs. Flynn was born September 14, 1939 in Marshall County to Cecil Felton Thrower and Exer Vera Martin Thrower.
She and her husband Jimmy Flynn were married for 60 years. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed playing cards and dominos with her husband and friends. She also enjoyed working in her flowers. She was a devoted Christian, Mother and Wife. She loved serving the Lord with her husband and helping anyway possible.
Mrs. Flynn was a 1958 graduate of Arab High School; she also graduated from cosmetology school and ran Flynnโs Grocery. She was a bus driver for Marshall County Schools for 10 years and also drove for the Union Grove Senior Center.
Mrs. Flynn was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father: Felton Thrower who died in WWII and her mother: Exer Martin Thrower Huckaby; step father: W.B. Huckaby; her brother: Jimmy Huckaby and her grandsons: Andrew Marion and Matthew Pickett.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday March 19, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother Larry Conley and Brother Carl Cash, officiating. Burial will be in Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her granddaughters: Alisha Pickett, Alison Marion Latimer, Natalie Marion, Danielle Flynn Phillips, Leah Morris Flynn and Emmalie Burkett Thacker.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday March 18, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
