Tom Gibbons graduated from Holtville High School where he played football, basketball and ran track. He was voted "Best all around" and "Most athletic" his senior year. He attended the University of Alabama on a track scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and Biology. He remained a die-hard Bama fan to the very end! After college he went on to coach and teach in Savannah, Georgia before working for Delta Airlines and proudly becoming an airline pilot. He went on to enjoy retirement in Dallas, Texas; Orange Beach, Alabama; Ventura, California; and finally settling in Sarasota, Florida.
Tom is survived by his son, two daughters and four grandchildren.
Tom was cremated and his ashes are buried in the family plot in Pine Flat Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
