She was a native of Warren County, but resided in Rutherford County. Irene was a member of Victory Assembly of God and a homemaker.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Denny Ritchey and Etta Smith Ritchey; husband, Robert Carson Bell; infant son, Glenn Bell; sister, Gracie Mayo and brother, Lee Denny Ritchey, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Brenda Bell (Thomas) Davis; son, Gwen Devon (Leslie Kaplan) Bell; sister, Hazel Stacy; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Evergreen Cemetery, with Timothy Davis officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home, 820 South Church St., Murfreesboro, TN.
