Virginia Herdelene Crane Gregorgy, 92, of Louise, Mississippi went to be Lord on March 13, 2019. Visitation will be Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with services at 11:00 at Mortimer Funeral Home in Belzoni, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Caile Cemetery , Isola. Rev. Glenn Warrington officiating. Pallbearers are: Johnny Fair, Bo Green, Jeff Gregory, Ben Grimm, Kody Miles and Danny Fulton.

Virginia was born on November 3, 1926, weighing just 3 pounds, at Stewart Bend in Conehatta, Mississippi to the late Ab Davis Crane and Cora Della Stewart Crane Gregorgy. She had been a resident of Louise, Mississippi area for almost 69 years where she was affectionately known as "Mammaw Gregory". She was a member of First Baptist Church of Louise. She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt and grandmother and loved her family dearly. She enjoying the simple things of life, especially her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her church family, and her neighbors. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, working crossword puzzles, reading but most of all sitting on the parch in her rocker enjoying the sunshine on her face and the fresh air.

Virginia married Thomas Jefferson (T.J.) on September 2, 1945. They moved to Louise, Mississippi, where was he employed by R.B. Gill Company for 33 years and she was employed by Jockey International for 32 years.

She leaves many friends and extended family members. Her sweet smile, gentle manner and devotion to her love ones will be forever cherished by them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Wanda Kathleen Gregory Able, sisters, Juanita Blackburn and Jean Dennis and children Maurice Gregory, Willard "Chuck" Gregory, and Tedford (Ted) Gregory.

Survivors include: Sons, Thomas Gregory (Brenda) of Texas, Douglas Gregory of Louise, daughter Jo Ann Hunt (James) of Florence, Dodd Gregory, and Barbara Jackson of Pascagoula, Jennifer J. Grimm (Eric) of Texas, Jeff Gregory of Texas, sister, Marian Register, grandchildren Nikki Fair (Johnny) of Byram, Kristen Wilkerson (Michel) of Louise and an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.

Family and friends loved to eat her homemade biscuits and Lemon Meringue Pie (secret ingredient was Ritz Crackers). She loved sitting and visiting and reminiscing with her sisters about childhood memories such as taking turns riding the wagon coupling on their wy to town.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial may be made to First Baptist Church of Louise, P.O. Box 244, Louis Mississippi 39097

Virginia Crane Gregory ,92, went to her Heavenly reward on Wednesday March 13, 2019 at Brandon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brandon, Mississippi.

Virginia was born on November 3, 1926 to Abb Davis Crane and Cora Stewart Crane. She was a member of the Louise First Baptist Church in Louise, Mississippi. She was employed at Jock ey International for 32 plus years. She was known for her hard work and the desire to help her family in any way she could as well as her love of God and His word. Mrs, Gregory loved to sit on her front porch and visit with friends and family members. She loved to listen to the birds singing and watch the flowers grow. Her smile will live on in memories of those who knew her.

Virginia Herdelene Crane Gregory was preceded in death by her parents, Abb and Cora Crane, the love of her life her husband, Thomas Jefferson Gregory who left way too early, sister, Marian Register of Morton, Mississippi, daughter, Wanda Gregory Ables, and sisters, Juanita Crane Blackburn, Ida Jean Crane Dennis. She leaves behind to cherish their memories of her, daughter JoAnn Gregory Hunt (James) of Florence, Mississippi, sons, Thomas Gregory (Brenda) of Fort Worth, Texas and Douglas Gregory of Louise, Mississippi, grand children Jennifer Grimm (Eric) Aledo, Texas, Nikki. Fair (Johnny) Byram, Mississippi, Jeffery Ray Gregory Forth Worth, Texas and Kristen K. Wilkerson (Michael) Louise, Mississippi, 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew, and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 10 AM at Mortimer Funeral Home, Belzoni, Mississippi followed by the service at 11 AM. Burial will be at Caile Cemetery. Reverend Glenn Warrington will conduct the service.
