Mr. Earl Edward Burks, Sr., age 75 of Grant, Alabama passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Grant Memorial Chapel with David Powell and Clayton Tuggle officiating. Robert Patterson, Sr., Robert Patterson, Jr., Joey Sutphin, Jeff Bearden, Travis Baugh, and Tim Weaver will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Alton Willmon and the Gunter Mountain Hunt Club. Burial will follow in Free Home Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
Mr. Burks is survived by his wife, Gloria Burks; son, Earl Burks, Jr.; daughter, Anna Burks, grandson, Devin Burks (Jade); sister, Mary Ann Bishop; nephew, Brian Bishop (Laura); special friend, Debra Williams; and special caregivers, Connie Holcomb, Lula Bearden, and Mille Chamblee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed & Ruby Burks.
