Ron was born in Port Angeles, WA. to Helen Iverson & Wes Johnson. When he was in his twenty's he lived on the East Coast, and worked as a Commercial Fisherman. He then met Sandra Norris and they had a son, Dana. A few years later after returning to Port Angeles, he met and married Shelly Pressley. They had a son, Teagen Jaymes Smith. At the time of his death, Ron had three stepchildren, Bryan, Kylee and Cameron that he loved as his own. He also had several grandchildren. Ron had two sisters, Kathy Spurgeon of Alaska, Julie Dailey of Port Angeles & one brother, Randy Smith of Alaska.
