He was born December 9, 1936, in Mano, Missouri, the son of Benton Periman (Died June 25, 1995) and Stella (Edwards) Periman (Died Nov. 1, 1967). Delmar was married to Cora M. ( ? ) Periman. She died Sept. 6, 1988. On October 16, 1991, in Aurora, he was united in marriage to Emily Kern, who survives. He is also survived by three sons, Bobby Periman of Aurora, Larry Periman of Verona and Dean Tucker of Aurora; five daughters, Mary Wallace, Amanda Periman, Kathy Slobe, Sue Carr and Vickie Tucker all of Aurora; one brother, J.B. Periman of Kansas City; three sisters, Zelma Taylor of Monett, Reba Stanley of Kansas City and Glenna Swearingen of Monett; nineteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Claudie Tucker and David Delmer Periman (Died May 20, 1970); one daughter, Dottie Gunter; three brothers, Orville Ganes Periman (Died Sept. 1, 2005), Alvin "Red" C. Periman (Died July 18, 1992) and Willard Periman and two sisters, Thelma and Della.
Delmer grew up and received his education in the Mano and Eagle Rock area. He was a truck driver, for Pet Milk Company in Cassville, hauling milk. He attended Union Grove Pentecostal Church in Aurora. His favorite pastimes were fishing for catfish, camping and going to auctions.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 6, 2007, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell will conduct the services. Burial will be in Mineral Springs Cemetery, Cassville.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
