Obituary of Jimmy Levern Cook
CAMDEN – Graveside service for Jimmy Levern Cook, 79, will be held on Sunday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday 4-6 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association.

Mr. Cook, husband of the late Martha Ann Cook, passed away at McLeod Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Born in Elgin, he was the son of the late Ollie Lewis and Mattie Helen Goff Cook. He retired from DuPont. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and old cars. Mr. Cook coached baseball and basketball for the Kershaw County Recreation Dept.

Surviving are his daughter, Teresa C. Little (George) of Camden; sons, Michael Cook (Margo) of Lugoff and Joe Cook (Ginny) of Charleston; step-children, Sandra Peebles of Camden, Linda Cobb of Camden, Cindy Hornsby of Camden, Deloris Beverly of North Carolina and John Mark Hornsby of Lugoff; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by; brothers, Elbert Cook, Owens Cook, Carl Cook, Raymond Cook and Bill Cook.
