Joy Rogers of Cuba, Missouri was born Monday, January 2, 1939 at Bem, Missouri to the union of Noah Burt and Ethel (Nee: Dotson) Miller. She left from this life, surrounded by family, on Monday, March 11, 2019 at her home in Cuba at the age of 80 years.

Joy was united in marriage to Chester A. Rogers on February 28, 1953 at Hernando, Mississippi.

She had been a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba and for the last few years she had been attending the Christian Life Center in Rolla with her son Mark. She enjoyed church work, mission traveling and sharing the word of the Lord. Joy and Chester traveled to Texas every winter for many years and she enjoyed traveling with her friends for two weeks every year. What Joy loved most in this life was spending time with her family and friends.

Joy is preceded in death by her parents Noah and Ethel Miller, husband Chester A. Rogers, one brother Alan and wife Shirley Miller, five sisters; Gladys and husband Sylvester Nieman, Alice Ferling, Loretta and husband Dale Ellis, Iva Mae and husband Walter Westholtz, Faith and husband Joe Moore, brothers-in-law Jerry Hudson, Bill Jost and John Akers, sisters-in-law Susie Ellis and Martha and husband Cliff Wilcox and other family and friends.
