Joan A. Chimienti of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Wormleysburg, Pa the daughter of the late Eugenio and Giselda DiMascio.

Joan graduated from Bishop McDevitt and was the widow of Nicholas Chimienti Sr., surviving son, Nicholas Chimienti Jr. and wife Kathy of Harrisburg, grandchildren Adrianna, and Nick Chimienti, sisters Adelite Jones of Harrisburg and Louise Posevac
of Camp Hill, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in
death by four sisters and three brothers.

Joan was a retired inspector for the former Amp Inc. and a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church. Joan enjoyed attending her grandchildren many sporting events and loved to cook Italian food for everyone.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January, 13, 2018 from 10:30-12:00 p.m. followed by the mass at St. Catherine's Church located at 4000 Derry St, Harrisburg, PA 17111.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be sent to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania.
