Inez (Barnette) Rose Johnson, was born February 4, 1924 in Roanoke, Virginia to Lucian and Kate Barnette. On Friday, February 23, 2019, she passed away.

She was baptized at the age of 13 at Bethlehem Baptist Church and later graduated from Carver High School.

After moving to Columbus, Inez joined Trinity Baptist church. While at Trinity, she served as an usher and a choir member. She often quoted scriptures. She loved to knit, make quilts, garden and sing when she was not shopping or traveling.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lucian and Kate Barnette; first husband,Cosby Rose; second husband, Lonnie Johnson; daughter, Cynthia Shepherd; granddaughter, Deloris Law; and grandson, Deitrick Law.

Inez leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Brenda Law, Constance Rose; sister, Mary Lee Moyer; eight grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
