Annie Belle Dawson, 90, of Montgomery, went to heaven on March 9, 2019, with family by her side. She was born to the late Thomas and Evelyn Swinson on July 11, 1928, in West Point, Mississippi. Annie Belle graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery. Annie Belle was married to the late Clayton Dawson Jr. of Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Swinson and sister Theresa Swinson Hall (Sonny). Annie Belle is survived by three children, Lorraine Dawson McLaney (Ricky) of Sprague, Tommy Dawson (Judy) of Millbrook and Mitch Dawson (Rose) of Montgomery. She is survived by 8 Grandchildren, Robbie Dawson, Lynsey Ozier (Craig), Tyler Strickland (David), Susanna McLaney, Kate Woddail, (Joe), Kristen Dawson Harmon (Ryan), Bo Dawson, and Kelly Dawson and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Donna Swinson Leavell. A true Christian lady, Annie Belle taught many children in Sunday school at Capitol Heights, Lakewood and Vaughn Park Church of Christ. She retired from the Bureau of Hearings and Appeals to take care of her Mother. She cooked, sewed and served many others until dementia took away that ability. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 1pm- 2pm at Leak Memory Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2pm. Burial will be at Greenwood Serenity Gardens following the service.
