Eugene Liebert, 93, of Evansdale, died at Cedar Valley Hospice Home Monday, March 11, 2019.

He was born February 20, 1926, in Charles City, son of Walter and Lillian Hartong Liebert. Eugene served in the U.S. Army Air Force during the Korean War.
He married Nadine DeWater Stephens in 1972; she died in 1996. He married Jean Hardee Richmond on November 19, 1999.
He worked for John Deere as a scheduler retiring in 1981 and was a member of Evansdale AMVETS Post #31. He enjoyed puzzles, fishing, hunting, tinkering, carpentry and anything mechanical.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Jean; 6 step-sons: Jarrell (Martha) Stephens‚ Waterloo; Steven (Diane) Stephens‚ Normal‚ IL; John (Beth) Stephens‚ Sioux City‚ IA; Randy Richmond‚ Waterloo; Craig (Fran) Richmond‚ Evansdale; and Rick (Julie) Richmond‚ Billings‚ MT; 2 step-daughters: Sherryl Jacobsen‚ Evansdale and Kimberly (Jeff) Hilbert‚ Waterloo; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Kay Liebert; 2 brothers, Floyd and Orville Liebert; a sister, Grace Trumbauer; a step son in law, Jerry Jacobsen; and a step daughter in law, Jan Richmond.
