In addition to Derek, of Streator, he is survived by brother Bob (Marian) Seymour of Tampa, FL; sisters Mary Kay Pleck, of Urbana, IL, and Judith (Mark) Dickey of Raleigh, NC, and several nieces and nephews.
John attended Parkland College and the University of Illinois, and lived in Champaign, IL before moving to Wyoming in the 1980’s. Fascinated from childhood with Europe, he traveled there many times even after losing his vision in his 20’s, and spent several summers in Conwy, Wales where he made many friends.
Always a fan of good writing, Johnny was very widely read thanks to the Talking Books program. He was a spiritual person, and a longtime supporter of causes such as Children’s Fund Africa and Amnesty International.
We’ll remember him always. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery, Streator, IL.
