Mary Starr Appleton, 63, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010. She was born on January 15, 1947 in Abilene, Texas to Martha Jean Scott and James Doss Alexander, Jr. Starr received a B.S. from Abilene Christian University in 1969. She worked as a teacher for 30 plus years with Corpus Christi Independent School District. She was a member of the American Federation of Teachers.
She is survived by her parents, James and Jean Alexander of Cross Plains, Texas; her beloved husband of 36 years, Kenneth Appleton of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters, Heather Bardwell of Huntsville, Alabama and Andrea Dysput of Richardson, Texas; granddaughter, Candace Nicole Bardwell; and brother, Jim Alexander of Richardson, Texas.
