She was born August 30, 1940, the daughter of the late Mr. James “J.C.” Columbus Phillips and Mrs. DeLavinina Williams. She loved to laugh and spend time with family. She enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening, working jigsaw puzzles, and loved animals.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Gill; brothers, Nathan Phillips and Dean Phillips.
She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Deneen and Keith Finnell of Villa Rica, Lisa Mitchell of Powder Springs; sons and daughter-in-law, Robby Phillips of California, Donald and Peggy Gill of Atlanta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Clyde and Bobby Carter of Warm Springs, Linda and Billy Farris of Warm Springs; brother, Tommy Phillips of Warm Springs; extended generations also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica. Interment will follow at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Manchester, GA.
