Arthur Stones passed away on June 4, 2007 at the age of 72. Art was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Delbert and Arzell Stones. Art graduated from West High School in 1952 and served a LDS Mission to Germany from 1953-1955. Art worked for the FBI for the following eight years. On Jan. 22, 1965, he was sealed to Janice Fae Porter in the Salt Lake Temple. Art went to Idaho State University where he obtained his certificate in Law Enforcement. Art served the communities of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Bountiful, Utah for over 20 years as a police officer. He also enjoyed serving his country in the Air National Guard as a Master Sergeant and Reservist. Art also served as a Security Officer for the Bountiful Temple for 13 years. Dad loved woodworking, cooking, theatre popcorn and his family. Art was preceded in death by his sisters; Dorothy Stones, Loris Poole, and Vicki Sharples. He is survived by his wife Jan Stones; brother Larry Stones; children: Nichole Bishop (Troy), Guy Stones (Jill), Cassie Newcomer (Randy), Matt Stones (Kelly) and 10 grandchildren. A viewing will be held at the LDS Bountiful 15th ward Chapel, 1250 S Main, Bountiful, Utah on Thursday, June 7th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 8th at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing preceding the funeral at 9:45 a.m. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
