She graduated from Campbellsville High School and while working at Amazon, attended Elizabethtown Community College. In 2005 April was diagnosed with cancer and was given two years on this earth. In 2013, (eight years later) she was told again that she would only have six months to live. But on each occasion, God took control-Hallejuah!! April fought her battle with cancer for 14 years without complaint. She enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends with a smile on her face.
April was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Williams; a brother, David Williams; a grandson, Jacobi Whisenton.
She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Bianca Taylor, Diamond Thompson and Etiyah Thompson all of Campbellsville, KY; a son, Derek Taylor of Campbellsville, KY; four grandchildren, Nadia Taylor, Modesty Taylor, Khiza Whisenton and Camden Taylor all of Campbellsville, KY; two sisters, Anita Williams of Louisville, KY and Tonya Gowdy (Bronson) of Campbellsville, KY; and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at First Baptist Church Campbellsville with Rev. Corrie Shull officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Church.
