Wanda Mae Barnes 64 of Vancleave, MS passed away on February 5,2019 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Barnes was born on March 19,1954 in Owassa, Al and has been a resident of Vancleave since 1986.
Mrs. Worked in the housekeeping department for the Imperial Palace casino. She enjoyed fishing, relaxing outdoors and spending time cooking for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Early and Othema Edson and her brother Milton Edson.
She is survived by her husband Harley Barnes Jr. of Vancleave her daughter Penny Wanda Richard of Vancleave,her sons Melvin Lee Brown, Lee Wayne Brown both of Silverhill, AL; and Timothy Keith Brown of Lucedale, her sisters Rachel Wyman of Stapleton, AL; Mary Helen Benbow of Andalusia, AL. She will also be sadly missed by her 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday February 16,2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Vancleave Assembly of God Church with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm.Rev. Bennett Coker will be officiating the funeral. Burial will follow in the Vancleave Pentecostal Church cemetery.
