Robert Michael “Bob” DeLaney, 67, of Citrus Heights, CA, passed away, Sunday morning, February 24, 2019 at his home.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, March 17th at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Ln, Sacramento, CA, Mr. John McDonald will be officiating. Reception will follow at St. Francis reception hall at East Lawn.

Bob was born July 27, 1951 in Southern California to Murphy and Florence (Lowe) DeLaney. He graduated from Highlands High School in 1970. On October 3, 1969 he married Patricia Luella Davies in North Highlands. Bob was employed as a sales representative and retail manager in the Sacramento area. He was a very hard worker but always made sure to make time for his family. He retired 9 years prior to his passing. He loved spending time with his family by going to his grandchildren’s sporting events, talking sports and politics with his wife and children, and watching “cheesy flicks” at home or going to the movies with anyone in his family. He especially loved to travel by going on cruises, visiting family, and going to amusement parks. He spent most of his weekends watching movies and softball games or gardening in his yard.

Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia DeLaney and his 3 children, Brenda Carter of Moultrie, GA, Carla Barrow and her husband, Terry, of Mather, CA, and Gregory DeLaney and his wife, Jessica, of Show Low, AZ, sister Donna Rivera and brother John DeLaney and his wife Laurie, 7 grandchildren, Justin Carter and his wife Emma, Amanda Palacios and her husband Ricardo, Mason Carter, Jessilyn and Jaedyn Barrow, and Devlin and Dillon DeLaney, 5 great grandchildren, Tessa, Kaylee, Milanie, Ariana, and Skylar, aunts and uncles, and a niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and Florence DeLaney.
