Mr. Lindsey, a native of Thomaston was born on January 31, 1934, to the late Ernest L. Lindsey and Cleo Thompson Lindsey Durden. He was retired from Thomaston Mills and had been a security guard at Upson Regional Medical Center. He also served as an Upson County bailiff for twenty years, and he coached in the local youth football program for many years. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 to 1954. Mr. Lindsey was a member of East Thomaston Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Teal Lindsey of Thomaston; a daughter, Lisa (Tim) Connor of Thomaston; a son, Lee Lindsey of Thomaston; a sister, Debbie Nixon of Thomaston, four grandchildren: Nick Lindsey of Thomaston, Melissa (Chris) Bedford of Thomaston, Hayley Connor of Buckhead, and Ashley Connor of Thomaston; and six great grandchildren: Olivia, Carson, Mallorie, Addyson, and Evan Lindsey, and Greyson Bedford, all of Thomaston.
