Donnie was born March 11, 1938 in Mississippi to J.W. and Gladys Gordon Ragsdale. She was a homemaker and a CPA. She worked with Stribling Equipment until her retirement to come home to take care of her grandbabies until they reached high school age. She was a proud Law enforcement and retired Military wife. She traveled all over the world with her husband raising her children during his military career. Donnie was also a proud military mother and grandmother. She attended Quest Community church.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her brother, Johnny Ragsdale and her husband, Claude M. Jackson.
Survivors include her sons, Robert (Tammy) Jackson of Vicksburg and Michael (Gena) Jackson of Florence; brother, Ken (Anita) Ragsdale of Pensacola, FL; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are, Mark Weeks, Rodney Dixon, Johnny Nolan, Fred Hauser, Edward Bone and Adam Ross; honorary pallbearers are, Sheriff Martin Pace and the Warren County Sheriffs Dept.∼Born in Jackson, Mississippi to J.W. and Gladys Ragsdale, she married her childhood sweetheart right out of high school and followed him all over the world raising her two boys as he served his country in the military. She was married to the love of her life for sixty-two years until his passing in 2016.
Donnie worked as an accountant for an insurance company before changing jobs to work with John Deere before retiring to take care of her grand children until they were in high school. Donnie also spent her retirement enjoying her great grand children. Her favorite pastimes were spending quality time with old friends and going to water aerobic classes at the YMCA. Donnie also known as D.J. loved watching her Mississippi State Bulldogs and Dallas Cowboys.
