Mr. Richard William Strickland, Sr., age 55 of Winston, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019.
He was born May 15, 1963, the son of Mr. Frank Redman Strickland and the late Mrs. Ludie Mae Strickland.
He lived life to the fullest, never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. Mr. Strickland lived for his family, no one came before them. He was a life time member of Friendship Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother, Hubert Frank Strickland.
He is survived by his sons, Richard and Nicole Strickland, Jr. of Winston, Frank “Spanky” Strickland of Winston, Joey and Chelsea Strickland of Rincon, Christopher “C.J.” Strickland of Winston; father, Frank Strickland of Winston; sister, Peggy and Lonnie Ard of Douglasville; brother, Ricky and Cathy Strickland of Temple; extended generations also survive.
The Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Friendship Baptist Church. He will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
