WATTS, JoAnne Potter, 70, wife of Vernon G. Watts, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Markey Cancer Center. Born in Oakdale, TN, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Laura Miller Potter. JoAnne was a retired medical records clerk. Besides her husband, she is survived by: a daughter, Tammy (Brian) Sams of Lexington; and three grandchildren, Sarah, Rebekah, and Joshua Sams. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon Thursday at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. No visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Pancreatic Cancer Research at pancan.org. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. is in charge of arrangements.
