Born in Gibson Island, MD, she came to Miami in the early 1940's. She and Will (founder of Lindsley Lumber) met and dated each other while attending colleges in the north. They went their separate ways, married other partners, and after a death and a divorce, resumed their connection, marrying in 1946.
Will died in 1968.
Georgianna was very active in several organizations, especially at Dade Youth Hall, where she taught etiquette and cooking to young girls. She was president of the Southeast Mental Society and an active member of the Salvation Army.
Mrs Lindsley is survived by her stepson Robert and four grandchildren.
