Linda Kaye Youngblood passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the age of 70. She was born in Lubbock, Texas on July 24, 1948 to Harry and Vesta Lorraine Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Diane Lewis and Caroline Kaye Jones; and brother, Ronnie Jones. Linda is survived by daughters, Shelley Youngblood, Tara Youngblood (Sally), and Kaycee Youngblood (Omar); grandchildren, Korie, Keaton, Colton, Grayson, Karsen, Kamryn, Kase, and Kollins; great grandchildren, Tristan and Jayden; and niece, Shannon Copeland and family. Linda worked for the New Mexico school district for 31 years until retiring in 2012. Following her retirement, she moved to New Braunfels, Texas be closer to her daughters and grandkids. She loved all her grandkids so much and enjoyed going to all of their soccer games and swim meets. Linda was a kidney transplant survivor and strong advocate for Autism Awareness. She loved reading on the beach and taking trips to Vegas with her sister Diane. Linda was an avid Texas Longhorn fan. She also had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. Linda most of all loved being with her family. Especially her grandkids. They were the love of her life. A Memorial Service for Linda will be Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 11:00 am at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Linda’s honor, to www.autisimspeaks.org.
