He attended Howard High School. Nathaniel was a member of Alton Park Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Nathaniel was preceded in death by his parents, Notley and Mattie Woods, Jr.
Survivors include his daughters, Charnese Woods and Quesha Woods; son, Eric Anderson; long-time friend, Agnes Brown; brothers, Fred (Jacqulyn) Smith of Aurora, IL, William (Freda) Smith of Chattanooga, Michael Woods, and Melvin (Valerie) Woods, all of Decatur, GA; sisters, Mattie (Bennie) Florence, Dorothy Hubbard, both of Decatur, Lydia (Charles) Ward of Chattanooga, and Aleta (Theodore) Wise of Coppell, TX; 11 grandchildren; 3 aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Phillip Henderson as the eulogist.
Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
